Two-time Olympian Heather McPhie Watanabe grew up in Bozeman skiing with the BSF Freestyle Team. “The first year I competed in all the competitions and rarely made it down without falling,” remembers Heather, “but I immediately loved it." Her drive was apparent, and Freestyle Program Director Mike Papke notes she was willing to put in the work. They traveled all over the U.S. as Heather progressed and made her way onto the U.S. Ski Team. Heather won four World Cups, landing on the podium a total of 14 times. She was the U.S. moguls champion in 2012 and 2013 and represented the U.S. in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and the 2014 Olympics in Sochi. Today, Heather is a global sports and entertainment associate director and financial advisor at Morgan Stanley. Heather exemplifies the spirit of BSF and we’re excited to have her return to Bozeman as the keynote speaker for Bridger Ski Foundation’s 2022 Oktoberfest.
